Does the stuff moved take up so little space after the move that you can't see the difference?

the problem is that i am working with 8i version .
what i did is :
alter table schema.table_name move tablespace new_tablespace ;
and when i check i see that the tables haved been moved to the new
tablespace but the space allocated is free.
is there a bug in this..?

i followed your advice to move tables from tbs1 to tbs2, the moved
tables
are on the new tablespace(tbs2) but the space allocated is empty on he
new
tablespace and on the old tablespace the space always is full...
any ideas about this..?
