I have a problem with one of our 12 servers. For Grid control purposes,
we are running all of our Oracle processes as a domain user (within the
server administrator group) as opposed to the server default system
account. I have a feeling the problem is with the user's registry
rights.
On one particular server, with I try this, the database starts, but I
cannot login to an instance. The message I get is:
TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect
descriptor
The lister.log file reads:
31-MAY-2007 02:46:23 * (CONNECT_DATA=(SID=<actual sid
name>)(CID=(PROGRAM=C:\oracle\product\agent10g\bin\emagent.exe)(HOST=<ac
tual host name>)(USER=SYSTEM))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<actual
host IP address>)(PORT=<actual port number>)) * establish * <actual host
name> * 12505
TNS-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect
descriptor
The css39.log reads:
