LazyDBA.com uses email shielding.

What is email shielding?

Well, when you post to the list, your email address doesn't appear! in
it's place is a disposable lazydba.com email address. So people can still
email each other "off-list", but the emails go through an attachment
stripper, so if you do get a funny attachment it won't be from your posting
on the list.

This is completely automatic and transparent to you the list user.
Check out the email address of anyone who has posted to the list, and you'll see what we mean.


Also, it means you don't have to worry about your email address being
public, so you no longer have to use yahoo/hotmail/whatever you can use
whatever email address is easiest for you (high bandwidth/high capacity work
emails spring to mind).. Ahhhh complete peace of mind and privacy.
