no firewalls on the server side is enabled. We have hardware firewalls.
This aplication was working fine till last week. Only some clients are
having this problem. One thing I have found is database is 8i and
clients are 9i. Will this be the cause.

hi all,
my clients are getting ORA-12154 error while running the application.
they are able to run some of the modules within the application but some
modules through this error.

i am able to connect to database using SQL and when I run the
application on the server itself i donot get any errors. tnsping from
the client is working fine.
setting are as follows
