Hello,

Try to export with an 8i export utility not with the 9i version and try to import again with a 8i import utility.
You can do a remote export from the 8i server towards the 9i database for example.

Try to check with "imp/exp help=yes" to check the versions from the client you execute the binaries.

First line is telling you the version:

C:\>imp help=y
Import: Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production on Mi Jul 4 12:47:06 2007

Hello experts,


I tried to import to a 8i base from a dump of 9i base and i got the following message:

IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully

is it normal.?

any idea about this
