Hi Ungaro,
You are saying database is not in archive mode. Then how come you have a hot
backup.
Thats impossible.
Your backup set is useless if the database is not in noarchive mode.

Subject: Recover Hotbackup of database not in archivelog mode.
I have a hotbackup of a database that I need to recover. The database was
not in archivelog mode, and I need to recover a backup copy from 8/1. It's
now 8/6, so redo logs will not be an option. Forgive my lack of specificity,
I'm rather new to this, and am in a sticky situation. Any information that
is required to help with this, please ask and I will provide. Thanks in
advance for any assistance that can be provided.
Matt
