Can you login on the command line as oracle? If so,
sqlplus / as sysdba
or
sqlplus '/ as sysdba'
or
sqlplus /nolog
then connect as sysdba at SQL>.
If you cannot get on the server even as the user id oracle, then you have to log on as root, sudo or su - oracle and repeat the steps.
Then change the password.

Subject: Lost SYS Login Password
Hey gurus,
Incase if we have lost the sys password for oracle database server, do
we have any ways to reset being an DBA. Something like the way we do in
Linux in single usermode.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Noorul Abrar.U
