RE: Lost SYS Login Password

RE: Lost SYS Login Password

Hi,

You need to delete the PWD(Host).ora in the c:\oracle\ora92\database\
from the installed path.

And in the command prompt issue this command.

orapwd file=c:\oracle\ora92\database\PWD(Host).ora password=sys
entries=10

This will create the sys pwd file

With Thanks and Regards,

Subject: Lost SYS Login Password

Hey gurus,

Incase if we have lost the sys password for oracle database server, do
we have any ways to reset being an DBA. Something like the way we do in
Linux in single usermode.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Noorul Abrar.U
