Everyone makes typos, and I pointed it out for the benefit of those you
were teaching. After all it was a pretty simple script.
touch ${FILENAME}_${DATE}
You seem to be overly touchy and defensive. The world is not out to
get you. So as to your question "Any thing else....... Mr. Joel?", the
answer is No, there was only that one thing. But thank you for asking
lokesha, athough the impression is that you are being less than
courteous.
So save your confrontational ways for those who strive to be warmongers.
It has no place in a discussion forum.
Did you want more... like #!/usr/bin/ksh might not be accurate on his
system. Or indeed UNIX is case sensitive, so it is FILENAME, not
'filename'... 'filename' again is a 'typo' is suppose.

I don't know exactly where your coming from, but my entry was to point
out
that you never defined JOBNAME. You defined FILENAME, and so you
should be using FILENAME. Take a second look at your code. Convention
has nothing to do with it.
