Once you have licenses for Oracle DB EE on a server you can have whatever version you are running as long as its the same licensing model. For example, the current model is per CPU for product and named users for dev/test. If you have 2 CPU that are single core say, then you have 2 CPU licenses for 2 CPU Oracle DB EE. Whether you are running 32 bit or 64 bit is mute. Problem is you cannot have 64 bit installed on another box. You will have to install it on your current environment to replace what you have.

Do keep in mind you have a 30 day trial window before licensing is invoked. Since you are using Oracle8i, the licensing may be an older model such as concurrent users or Power Units. You will have to determine what model you are currently using and make sure it is the current CPU model before going foward. Check with your sales team before proceeding.

I have a oracle 8.1.7.4 32-bit license Enterprise Edition, Do need to
invest money if want the same with 64bit ? Means need to purchase a
separate License ?
