Folks,
I have a question regarding databases that get created AFTER the Critical Patch Update for October 2007 has been installed.
Obviously, existing DB's are shutdown, then the patch gets applied, then the instance get started and the
$ORACLE_HOME/cpu/CPUOct2007/catcpu.sql script gets executed.
Makes sense for existing databases.
However, I just installed Oracle 10.2.0.3.0 and the CPU on a new server and did NOT create any instances yet.
Do I still have to run the 'catcpu.sql' on a NEW instance that gets created ?
I'm a bit puzzled and can't find any good answers on Metalink either.
My guess is it wouldn't hurt to run the script but am I wasting my time doing so ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris.
