RE: Oracle Licensing Scheme

RE: Oracle Licensing Scheme

George,
It's the first thing you see when you click the little store icon at the top
of the page at www.oracle.com. I don't know how it works with the older
versions. I assume it's the same pricing.

As to additional costs if you want to move from the named user pricing and
open it up to the Internet using the per CPU pricing... I'll apologize in
advance if this is inappropriate but, bend over and back on in... They're
really gonna stick it to you.

Regards,
Larry

Subject: Oracle Licensing Scheme

I can't seem to find anything clear on licensing rates at Oracle's site
anymore. Maybe it's my eyes, but I just couldn't find it. Only thing I saw
was their claim that they have now changed their licensing scheme to user
and cpu units but I wanted the the rates.

I need to know, besides (or before) calling Oracle, what the licensing rates
are now for 8.0.5 Standard and Enterprise Editions and whether there's
additional costs for opening up our database to Internet users.

Thanks,

George
