I did an export successfully. However, when I try to import I get errors
regarding roles that don't exist.

This is the command I issued:

exp owner=tems_adm file=/tmp/tems_adm_struct.dmp indexes=y constraints=y
rows=n log=/tmp/tems_adm.log

You can do SCHEMA LEVEL EXPORT of that particular schema & then IMPORT
it whereever you want.

The command is :

Exp owner=schema_name file=filename.dmp log=file_name.log

Schema_name = name of the schema

File_name = you can specify a convinient file name
