Hi all,
I shot myself in the foot by trying to delete rows from a table that might
be corrupt. Anyway, after some hours I decided to stop it and tried a
shutdown immediate, which stayed hanging too. The next thing was I killed
svrmgrl and tried to re-open it, in order to do a shutdown abort. However,
I
always get
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
when trying to connect. How can I shut down the database? Just waiting
won't
do because I don't have the time!
- This is Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris/Sparc
Thanks, Hellmar
