Assuming you have already set DISPLAY variable and still getting the
below error. Try this workaround :
create the file /usr/X11R6/bin/xdpyinfo and chmod 755 and put "exit 0"
in it so that it looks like :
$ cat xdpyinfo
exit 0
Include /usr/X11R6/bin/bin:/usr/openwin/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/sbin:$PATH
in your PATH variable and try.
