hi all,

My alert_test.log file is not being written even if i switch the log
files shutdown and restart the database. my parameter are already set

SQL> show parameter dump

NAME TYPE VALUE
------------------------------------ -----------
------------------------------
background_core_dump string partial
background_dump_dest string
C:\oracle\admin\test\bdump
core_dump_dest string
C:\oracle\admin\test\cdump
max_dump_file_size string UNLIMITED
shadow_core_dump string partial
user_dump_dest string
C:\oracle\admin\test\udump

database is running properly. I am on windows if i try to rename the
alert_test.log file when database is running it will not allow me.
