Dear GURUs..........

 

I am running my DB in Oracle 10GR2. I have all the data pertaining to the last 8 year. My DB is keep on growing because of this some times my DB performance is slow.

 

Now I am planning to create a history database and move all the old data related to the first 5 year from the production to the newly created History database.

 

How can I move the old data to the new History DB? .

 

I have around 5000 tables in the production DB.

 

How can I segregate last five years data globally?

 

Please give me a solution.
