Hi DBA's,

One of my client has Oracle client 8.0.5 installed. When I execute
PLUS80.EXE, and enter the login,password and connect string I could logon to
sqlplus successfully. After loging on, if I use CONNECT to connect to other
user in the same instance I am getting ORA-12203 TNS unable to connect to
destination.

I have TNSNAMES.ORA under 2 folders
i.e. C:\ORANT\NETWORK
as well as in C:\ORANT\NET80.
Also we have a common share folder having TNSNAMES.ORA which is referred in
registry (TNS_ADMIN).Which TNSNAMES.ORA file among these will be used by
SQLPLUS.

How to resolve this issue. In what way SQLPLUS refer the TNSNAMES.ORA file.
What is the order of reference.
