Hi All & Merry Xmas.

I am trying to reconstruct (extract) a trigger from user_triggers. My
problem is that the TRIGGER_BODY column will not display the entire contents
of the field when selected in an sql+ environment (o8i). I realise that it
is a Long data type and was wondering how it is possible to extract the
entire contents.

The Oracle docs say that Long is only included for backwards compatibility,
strange then that they have chosen to use it in system views??!!

Also the DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE buffer of 255bytes is extremely limiting. Are
there any other routines available to display long streams of text using
PL/SQL.
