RE: Compilation on execution ?

Surely This is a Overhead ...

U can check the %ORACLE_HOME%/RDBMS/ADMIN Directory for utlrcmp.sql.... And
Recompile all the Invalid Objects in your Schema....

HTH

Subject: Compilation on execution ?

Hi

I'm supporting an application, that as part of the overnight batch run
triggers + procedures become invalid. (350 + objects)

Now the consultants implementing the system say that's fine as the trigger
and subsequent procedures will be compiled on next execution.

Surely this is an overhead on transaction time, further more I'm concerned
about this and would like to see all objects valid + enabled all the time.

Any thoughts or experience's anyone ?

TIA

Mitch
