RE: Migration: Oracle 5 - 7, 8, 8i or 9i

Wow... Oracle 5!!!

How big is the database???

If not too big, I suggest dumping tables to a CSV format file and loading it
to 8.1.7 (at least) using SQL*Loader.

You can get the 'dump.sql' to unload the data and build the SQL*Loader
control file to load it from http://www.cybcon.com/~jkstill/util/. Look for
"Dump Tables To Flat File" on the left..

Good Luck...

Subject: Migration: Oracle 5 - 7, 8, 8i or 9i

Hi All,

There is a migration project where the data is in Oracle 5 on solaris.
Any ideas/tools to move this data to any of the more recent versions like 7,

8, 8i or 9i.

TIA
