RE: Oracle 9i RAC and apps 11i

RE: Oracle 9i RAC and apps 11i

Hi Kader,

We are having Oracle Applications 11i installed here working against 8.1.7
database. The database comes with the applications install. Once the
applications is installed successfully, you can upgrade your database
separately by applying patches. But, please make sure that the database
version you are migrating to is a certified version for the application
version you are running. There are a lot of components that come with Oracle
applications and they are directly or indirectly related to the database.
So, please verify with Oracle support about the version of the database that
is supported with the version of application you are installing, because
some of the components work only against a certain database version and vice
versa.

Best Regards,
Dhilip Ranganathan.
