Good Question. We were using it here on the development side of the house,
and I'm not the one who set it up...so, not sure about the security end of
it. However, we kept the VNC password secret...need to know basis. And, when
you hooked to a Win box...you had to log onto it with your own id and password.
If you left VNC without logging off the box...you got in trouble....so, that's
really how we managed it. Not a lot of security needed, however, I have started
reading up on it a little for an experiment I was wanting to do. I was
looking into using SSH and VNC together for a secure connection. I've done
light reading, and it looks possible. So, you might pursue that topic a
bit and see what you can come up with...I believe you can do some authentication
via the SSH connection. And, there are Win tools that do SSH.....
