Hi Gurus,

I would like to know if I lose one of my tempfiles from the system then
will that cause my database to crash? I don't have a firm answer to this
since we have two tempfiles associated with a temporary tablespace and are
on different drives and those drives are not mirrored. Now I know what is
the use of tempfile is, it is not needed for recovery purposes and so on.
Therefore, I would like to know if I need to put these tempfiles on the
drives that are mirrored or not, since I don't want our database to crash
if we lose one of the drives which is not mirrored and has the tempfile on
it.

Any insight would be appreciated.
