Hi

I have a column in a table for which I would like to create a bitmap index.
However, that table (in which the column exists) is also subject to high
insert/updates.

What I would like to know is, does the behaviour pattern of the table really
matter in deciding which index should we go for.

Do I really need to go for a Bitmap or Btree.? Where can I find such
comparison chart or any good document on this?

Note: I am not talking about a Primary key here. It is a ordinary column.
