my main question is that after creating 2 database one one machine,
can i start and run both dbs and clients can connect to which ever db they want.
if yes how to do that.

Hi gurus,
I have one database created on win-2000 advanced server. Now I want to create one more database on the same machine. When I run the script it says ‘startup nomount pfile …….’ It says first shutdown the already running instace.
If I create new database after shutting down the current one, will I be able to run both db simultaneously? And client and connect to which ever db they want?
How to do this? What all things I have to take care of? [services, new home etc…….]
