Hi all,
We have a requirement where we need to change the oracle database date
and time for testing various business scenarios. At the same time we
need the clock to be ticking. We can set the database date and time as
required by using 'alter system set fixed_date.......'. But the problem
with this is that, it is what it implies - a fixed date (and time). We
can not change the OS date and time because it has lot of dependencies.
Is there any way to set the database date and time as required and keep
the clock ticking? Oracle version we are using is 8.1.7.0.0.
Thanks very much,
Kiran Gavate.
