Question:
Do I need to have Oracle9iAS installed to run my Oracle forms over the web?
In theory, I think the Apache web server to receive request to execute an
applet that would run the form via the applet in the client's browser. We
installed Oracle Developer Suite (different from Oracle9iAS) and the
documentation says the Forms Services which is installed with Oracle9iAS
uses a servlet process called f90servlet. The servlet acts as a broker
between the client (Java) and the Forms Runtime engine. First, why do you
need a servlet to run an object through the applet?
Any direction here would be greatly appreciated.
