RE: Export/Import-Characterset difference

Hi Nitin,
Check the character set used in target database.
Set the same character set in enviornment variable (NLS_LANG) in registry and in CONTROL PANEL -> SYSTEM -> ENVIORNMENT
Take export and try to import in target database. See if this is helpful.

We applied same method in between export/import from oracle 7.3.2.2.1 to oracle 9i and got successful.

Subject: Export/Import-Characterset difference

I want to do EXPORT from one database and IMPORT to different database, both having different CHARACTERSETS, on Oracle 8i.
How to go about it, 'error-free'? Kindly suggest some detailed document also if any, relecting various options/implications.

Best regards,
Nitin Gupta
