RE: Oracle Job Situation

RE: Oracle Job Situation

More than taxes. The cost of labor is one of the highest immediate expenses
a company has that it can directly do something about.
The plain arithmatic is that you can hire someone a lot cheaper someplace
else
than you can in the US.

I think this trend will continue. In a previous dba job, I received emails
from companies in Thailand wanting us to farm out our java work to them.

The cost differential was enormous. Especially since this was the height of
the Web boom on the West coast and good java programmers cost big bucks.
I undertand it's slackened some now.

Well, Its our high taxes that is pushing all our companies out of this
country. So we should lower taxes to keep these companies inside the us.
