Hi Gurus,

Attn: specially Europian members of this group.

I am using Oracle ODBC (ver. 8.1.7.6) for connecting to database,
but one of the scenarios fails for usernames containing Europian names like for examples abc'd (with the quote included).

The ODBC driver is not able to handle this quote and throws error like:
null password given , even when actually a password is given!

I guess it confuses the ' single quote with start of string and assumes everything in this string as username.

Has anybody encountered a problem like this one and is there any solution to problem? I am using Windows 2000 and Visual C++ with SQLDriverConnect call.

I am using 'DBQ' values and not using 'DSN' because it needs to be setup as additional step. DBQ works fine with TNS Service Name which is given, with normal user names.

Any help in this matter would be extremely helpful.
