I have the database instance up and running (Running Oracle 9i on rel.2). I
checked the status under lsnrctl command and it appears that for status and
service the database has been configured correctly. However, from the
enterprise manager console when I use net configuration - there is an error
saying that using scott and tiger the database cannot be accessed. I
connect changing the login and password (sys) and it still gives me an
error.

I thank all those who helped me get past the errors earlier...
