Has anyone ever seen this and know exactly what it's saying?

ORA-604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-00164
autonomous transaction disallowed within distributed transaction

It is occuring when an Oracle Form (6i) of ours is trying to update a table
in one db (8171 on VMS) and it accesses a link to a Financials db (8171).

I assume that one of these transactions is distributed and it's trying to
execute another autonomous transaction...but how can I find out which is
which...or just more info on this?
