Hi Jerry,

My preference is for import/export as it cleans up fragmentation,
row chaining and unbalanced indexes - giving you a clean start.

The 6 to 7 migration tool got a very bad press - a lot of it
coming from Oracle Support

( Oracle support here, tell me are we talking about a proper
version 7 database, or a migrated version 6.

A proper version 7.

They have fixed it now ( I attended an OUG conference entitled
Oracle Migration Utility - we've fixed it, Honest )
But I am disinclined to give up on what I know works.
