Couple of options:
In most versions of Unix:
> cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
> file oracle
oracle: ELF 32-bit MSB executable ....
Select * from v$version - If it is 64 bit, I believe
it will show "64-bit" after the release ....
SVRMGR> select * from v$version
2> ;
BANNER
