To determine if MTS is being used, issue the command:
% lsnrctl services
MTS is not being used if the output looks like this:
V713 - has 1 service handlers
DEDICATED SERVER established:0 refused:0
MTS is being used if the output looks like this:
V713 - has 3 service handlers
DEDICATED SERVER established:0 refused:0
DISPATCHER established:0 refused:0 current:1 max:60 state:ready
D001 (machine: shogun, pid: 29131)

SQL> select * from v$MTS;

------------------- ---------------- --------------- ------------------
SERVERS_HIGHWATER
-----------------

1
