Laxmi,

You cannot just drop the datafile. Only way to get rid of a datafile is drop tablespace first and then remove that data file and recreate tablespace.

Hi all,

I added new datafile in wrong tablespace. Can I move that datafile to the tablespace I want. If so what steps should I take. I tried to take the datafile offline but it does't allow me from dbastudio.
