In the later versions of Oracle, I think 8.something and up, the database will register itself with the listener on startup. -----Original Message-----

Subject: Listener.ora - EXTPROC

Hi,
In my inherited listener.ora file, I have an entry for EXTPROC. My database is not listed, but when I run lsnrctl stat I see my DB has 1 service handlers. How is this??
Cheers,
Anthony.
