Are you using terminal services to connect to the system?

If this is a version less than 9.x, then you will get this error from a
terminal services session. If you use the system console instead, the
error should go away.

Dear all

We are getting the ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error while trying
to
create db on Windows 2000. Instance is created OK but the error appears

while trying to create db files;

Permissions on oracle home are set to Everyone Full Control.

Any ideas pls help?
