Ok Guru's,

I need to come up with a process that prevents users
from using sqlplus at the command line for insert,
update and delete. They can have select though.
Normally this would not be a problem as I would use
the user_profiles to limit this. The catch is that
they run shell scripts that use sqlplus to perform the
updates. This means that users need update access in
the shell scripts, but select only at the command line
or through sqlplus client.

Anybody have any ideas?
