Hard to tell if it will succeed, sorry.

I have 1 big rollback segment I keep for off hours work like this. Since I
have the room, I made it 5120k initial and next. I always have it offline
and manually turn it on and off when I need it.

I don't believe you have to shutdown your SID to create a new rollback
segment. If you create one, it is automatically offline and can't be used.
Once I alter my SID environment, I try to remember to copy the controlfile
to trace.
