<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>Hi, </DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<P>I am trying to perform a fairly big load (approx 1Gb) into an Oracle 9i table using SQLLDR with the DIRECT path option. When run the job fails after several minutes with the following error. </P>
<P> </P>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV><STRONG>Record 3545866: Rejected - Error on table PTMWMSP. </STRONG>
<DIV></DIV><STRONG>ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 8192 bytes (sort subheap, sort key) </STRONG>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<P> </P>
<P>I have tried increasing the instance SORT memory value from 0.5Gb to 1Gb without any success. I have also tried bouncing the instance without any success. </P>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>The TEMP tablespace is 20Gb.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>I have successfully loaded this table using the SQLLDR CONVENTIONAL path option. However I would rather perform the load using the DIRECT path option because it is so much faster.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>Has anyone out there got a suggestion or an idea to resolve this. Thanks.
