Subject: Can I Restore hot backups with no archive logs???
Hello all!
I have to restore a hot backup from last month to a test environment and have no archive logs.
Is there any way to restore from hot backup WITHOUT archive logs?
I'm using Oracle 9irel2, but compatibility is set to 8.1.7.
It's okay if I restore to a time before the backup was taken, but I think I still need at least one archive log to restore?
My alternative is to use the export file, and it will take DAYS to import all the data.
Your help will be greatly appreciated!
