Apps group (people soft) are claming that batch jobs are running slow,
jobs are
doing full table scan even there are indexes on the tables. Once we
drop those
indexes and recreate then the indexes are used. what would be the
problem
(are there any parameter that need to set). The end user wishes to know
why
the indexes are being bypassed and why they need to be recreated every
time to
force usage. How can we provide them a workaround to guarantee that
indexes
get used every time.
