Are you positive it is not requiring some kind of rollback? Startup will not be affected by it if so.... BUT, shutdown will... How long have you waited?

Hi all,

Shtudown Immediate is hanging. So I did a shutdown abort then a startup,
then a shutdown immediate again. It still hung. I repeated this step by
step
(startup nomount, mount, open) to no avail.

Anyone think of why shutdown immediate continuously hangs even after
having had a shutdown abort and a restart?

I even tried restarting in restricted mode.
