Subject: got tns timed out when high load on db server
Hi,
In some occasions, we experience high load on the
server (like around 9.5) and some hosts can't connect
to the database via 1521 port and get this "ORA-12203:
TNS:unable to connect to destination " errror.
When this happens, I tried testing it via tnsping and
it was indeed timing out with 12203 errors. The
database is behind the firewall and only port 22, 1521
is opened. I also experience some problem connecting
to 1521 port from the same host. I wonder if having
multiple listeners would alleviate this?
