Tell HR to send one of their own to Oracle DBA classes, then have IT refuse
to grant him any database privileges. This is essentially the same quandry
that HR is putting you in.

This will take time as the manpower budget will have to be redone and I
doubt if an approval for this will be granted. Being a DBA in the IT
department cannot be a fulltime job.

Subject: All in a Days Job
Hello All,
Today I think has been the most trying of all my days in this job.
I have just had a meeting with my HR department, they do not want IT to
access their data or even have the rights to. Now that rules out the
fact of a DBA and so we will have to outsource as they are more
confortable with an outsider accessing the data than an IT person. I
don't like this idea.
This is a long shot but is there anything I can do that will let IT be
able to maintain the database and yet have no access at all to the data.
I had thought of a replica database but this is a way I donnot want to
go.
Wild ideas will be welcome.
Thanks
