Hi Kelly,

If I am getting your question correctly, you could try "paste" command in Unix

paste file1 file2 >> final_file

Let me know if you have any questions.

Sema

Hello!

I know sed and awk are great tools for manipulating
text to get a file ready to load. I'm quite the newbie
at both...but, am learning.

At this time...I have need to join together elements
in two separate files to create one file to run with
SQL*Loader...

I can't find yet how, but, can you run awk with 2
files as inputs instead of only one? Am I going to
have to go with perl for something like this?

Any suggestions or pointers to links greatly
appreciated.

Kelly
