I solved my connection-time-outs by asking the NT-Admins to clear their
WINS-database. MS reroutes your request according to entries in the WINS db.
My time-outs were gone.

Iam having an Oracle 8.1.7 client installed on Win2000 prfessional
machine. I have TNSname configured to the server and an ODBC created, when i

Driver Message:[Oracle][ODBC][ORA]ORA-12535:TNS:operation timed out


WHat could be possible solution for this
