Hi all,
Ok guys, I'm currently running 8.1.7 and will be upgrading to 9.2 later this week. The 9.2 machine will be a new build clean install. So I plan to migrate the 8i database to 9i using an export.
The database in question is very heavily indexed and would take too long to export with full indexes and space is an issue. I would like to know if it is possible to be able to create index definition scripts so that the indexes can be rebuilt after the import as opposed to going through and rebuilding/recreating the indexes manually.
I've never done this before and I don't really know what the commands are or if a scripting function exists.
Thanks in advance
Jamie (novice DBA)
